AppealBased on field observation, I have been studying the characteristic of the survival strategy of people who live in the dryland; an adaptive mechanism and local knowledge of camel pastoralists in the Red Sea coastal area of Eastern Sudan; the traditional resource use of wild animal and plant species and forest conservation in the mountainous juniper woodland in Southwestern Saudi Arabia; the land use changes before/after ‘Grain for Green’ Project in Loess Plateau, China. Now, I enjoy producing a research project, Arab Subsistence Project, with specialists from various disciplinary fields. Please see our project homepage: http://arab-subsistence.jzz.jp/index.html
